The Kawasaki Z1000SX World Sport Performance Motorcycle Seat is shown with the CarbonFX seat insert fabric and Lime Green welt.
The Z1000SX seat features the precision-moulded CarbonTec seat pan with "better than stock" hardware and stainless steel fasteners.
The CarbonTec composition base pan is a tough, lightweight material providing an exceptional high-performance seat foundation.
Utilising the latest digital modeling, computer design (CAD) techniques, precise manufacturing processes, and superior materials, each World Sport seat pan is precision-moulded for superior fit and outfitted with high-quality hardware.
Our Super Cell Atomic Foam suspension is our own unique and proprietary blend of resilience, firmness, and vibration-absorption qualities - making it well suited for maximum long distance comfort.
The World Sport Seat for the Kawasaki Z1000SX features our marine-grade, UV-stabilised, color-coordinated upholstery which is hand-sewn specifically to maximise the qualities of the Super Cell Atomic Foam.
The upholstery is virtually maintenance free, requiring only periodic washing as usual.
NOTE: This is a complete replacement seat, not a re-modelled OEM seat
There are two fabric choices for this seat:
The Standard fabric, known as CarbonFX (or CFX), which is shown in most of the images.
There is also the Special Edition seat, which use the Duratex fabric (or DTX) and is priced at an additional £18.00 inc vat.
Images 8 and 9 above show the Special Edition version of the seat.
The upper part of the seat, the Insert, is in the DTX fabric while the sides are in the usual standard smooth fabric.
The Duratex fabric is grippier than the CarbonFX - quite a few riders choose this if they don't want to be able slide around on the seat easily.
However, Duratex is not a non-slip fabric, like for example a suede finish.
Apart from the fabric, the seats are identical in shape, ergonomics and comfort.
NOTE: The Gripzone fabric found on some seats like the BMW GS models is not suitable for this seat.

NOTE: Actual "seat to ground" dimensions may vary depending on rider weight, anatomy, and motorcycle suspension settings.
For all models, please measure the widest part of the Rear Seat Pad seat to check the size you need.
Typically (but not always) the Z1000 Naked bike has the 22cm wide pad, the SX bike has the 26cm pad and from 2017-onwards, the width of the SX rear seat pad is 27cm.
PLEASE NOTE: The picture shows a Kawasaki OEM Rear Seat Pad covered with a Sargent Matching Rear Seat Cover.
This item is a Rear Seat Pad COVER, manufactured from the same CarbonFX fabric as the Sargent seat itself.
The Cover does not have any effect on the ergonomics of the OEM Rear Seat Pad.
In addition, you can choose the colour of the piping to match that of your Sargent front seat.
You must also measure your seat pad at it's widest part and select the appropriate width, as well as the colour.
This seat cover is designed as a cover for the standard OEM Kawasaki Rear Seat Pad on a Z1000 SX / Tourer and is cut to fit that seat pad.
It will not fit any other seat pad correctly.
PLEASE NOTE: this seat cover can be DIY fitted. Full instructions are included.
A normal hand-operated staple gun (not a desktop paper stapler) will be required to fit this seat cover.
Customer feedback shows that a local upholsterer will charge £10.00 to £20.00 to fit the cover professionally.
Fitting by a an experienced upholsterer is recommended.
Add-On Heat for Sargent seats
The heat is provided by a special unobtrusive fine gauge wire element which does not compromise comfort.
The Add-On heat package of Control and Installation Kit includes a built in relay and in-line fuse for safety, and is installed "switched" so there is no danger of battery drain when the bike is turned off.
Each heated seating area (front or rear) is supplied with its own heat Control.
Each heated zone draws approximately 2 amps (or 24 watts), and dual zone installations will draw approximately 4 amps (or 48 watts) at full power.
Our new "Advanced Comfort Control" offers maximum comfort, delivering a fully variable range of heat from Off to Full Power and anywhere in between.
Unlike competitive products which are just simple on or off bi-metallic thermostats that are affected by ambient temperatures, our Control supplies a full range of consistent heat delivery in all weather conditions.
The Control is completely waterproof and can be conveniently mounted within view using the enclosed Velcro strips.
The adjustable power and brightness settings are displayed in a LED bar graph that shows the exact heat setting, and is visible day or night.

Just to let you know that after a 3 hour ride on my factory fitted Kawasaki Z1000SX my backside was killing me.
After changing the seat (to a Sargent seat) I noticed a big difference straight away, to the point where the Sargent seat took the pain away from what the original seat gave.
So thank you guys - here's to many more miles of comfort riding.
