K1200 S / K1300 S Modular Seat System

This seat is suitable for both the BMW K1200 S and K1300 S motorcycles.

Regarding the K1300 colours for the POD (Lava Orange and Light Grey) - Sargent are still establishing the correct paint code numbers, so they are not yet offered as an option.

This World Sport Modular Seat System is shown with the CarbonFX insert and a matching silver welt.

There is a BMW M3-Sport detail shown on the side of the rider seat - this is no longer a standard feature, as from January 1st 2009 The M3 Sport Logo may be chosen as an option.

Continuing in the tradition of meticulously designed and produced seats, Sargent is pleased to introduce the first World Sport Performance Modular Seat System on the 2005+ BMW K 1200/1300 S.

The Modular Seat System features the Front seat which incorporates the complete Seat Pan to which are fitted either of the Modular Rear seat or Storage Pod components.
Both Modules are quick-release, fastened securely by a captive tongue and two Dzus-type fasteners, accessible from beneath the seat.
The whole seat pan assembly has to be lifted from the bike (in the usual way) to access the fasteners. The normal seat locking system applies.

For those owners whose motorcycles have the SW-Motech Alu-Rack fitted, fitment of either the Rear seat or the Storage Pod is perfectly OK. In which case, the seat assembly may need to be lifted slightly (by unlocking in the usual way) in order to insert the key into the lockable Storage Pod.
The Storage Pod does not have to be locked in order for the opening/closing mechanism to work, meaning the Pod may be left unlocked for easy access.

Utilising the latest design techniques, exacting manufacturing processes, and superior materials, each World Sport seat pan is precision-moulded for superior fit and outfitted with high-quality hardware.
The K 1200/1300 S features our injection-moulded PolyTec base pan. This super tough, lightweight material provides an exceptional, high-performance seat foundation. And, for added convenience, there's an under-the-seat storage area built right in.

Our Super Cell Atomic Foam suspension is our own unique and proprietary blend of resilience, firmness, and vibration-absorption qualities - making it well suited for maximum long distance comfort.

The World Sport Seat for the BMW K1200/1300 S features our marine-grade, UV-stabilised, color-coordinated upholstery which is hand-sewn specifically to maximise the qualities of the Super Cell Atomic Foam.
The upholstery is virtually maintenance free, requiring only periodic washing as usual.

Modular Rear Seat The Modular Rear passenger seat features enhanced shape and support for improved passenger comfort, and a textured surface for extra traction. The slot on the rear of the seat for the fitting of the optional Backrest is covered by a pop-on pop-off cover.
Modular Storage Pod The lockable, spring-assisted lid provides wide, easy access to the contents. Each unit comes with its own unique key set. Available painted to match current BMW paint schemes or unpainted for custom applications.
Faux Carbon Fibre Storage Pod As well as the colour-matched Pod lid, it is also available with a faux Carbon Fibre effect finish.
Storage Pod Interior The Pod features an automatically-switched interior LED light. Felt-lined storage area. Space-saving, concealed hinges. Ample 5.7 litre capacity.
Optional passenger Backrest The Backrest can only be fitted with the Rear seat in place. It's covering is not configurable - it is available only with Toughtek textured material in Black and no piping, (which is known as Topstitch).
Front seat under-seat Storage The handy, under-the-seat storage area is built right into the PolyTec seat pan.
BMW M3-Sport Logo The BMW M3 logo is NOT a standard feature of this seat. It is positioned as shown, if ordered as an option.

Add-on Heat for Front seat ONLY.

Features include:
Solid-state Pulse Modulating Heat Controller.
Unlike simple bi-metallic thermostats that are affected by ambient temperatures, our controller supplies a full range of consistent heat delivery in all weather conditions. The controller is fully variable from off to full power and anywhere in between, providing maximum comfort control. It is completely waterproof and can be conveniently mounted within view. And, an LED light allows monitoring of the heat setting - even at night.

FINE WIRE Electric Element.
Special unobtrusive fine gauge wire element does not compromise comfort. Controller and installation kit includes built in relay and in-line fuse for safety, and is installed "switched" so there is no danger of battery drain when the bike is turned off.

Power Draw.
Each heated seating area (front or rear) is supplied with its own heat controller. Each heated zone draws approximately 2 amps (or 24 watts), and dual zone installations will draw approximately 4 amps (or 48 watts) at full power.

Add-on Heat Control.

Our new "Advanced Comfort Control" offers maximum comfort with our fully variable heat Control. Unlike competitive products that are just on or off, our advanced controller delivers full range heat control from 0 to 100%.
